- SAN GIOVANI HOTEL:
This historical boutique hotel is a famous landmark in Alexandria built in 1939 by an Egyptian-Greek businessman “San Giovanni”. It has a traditional 1920s bar and magnificent antique collection. Its classy and elite restaurant stands out with its great view of the sea and offering Italian and Greek cuisine. The hotel was visited by Sophia Loren, Marilyn Monroe and Clint Eastwood as well as Omar Sheriff, Ahmed Zuwail and President Sadat. The three-star hotel has just 33 rooms including 10 suites and is about 7 minutes away by car from the Fleet Club Hotel (venue of the conference).
